O Ministério da Saúde quer transformar o Hospital “Dr. Hélio Angotti” em “base de operação direta” afirmou nessa sexta-feira o Secretário Nacional de Atenção à Saúde (SAS) do Governo Federal, Helvécio Miranda Magalhães Júnior, que visitou no começo da noite a instituição de tratamento do câncer, após o encerramento do encontro “Juntos pelas Redes – Saúde, com Acesso e Qualidade para Todos”, realizado na cidade.
Isto significa, além da pretensão de aportar mais recursos para o tratamento de pacientes oncológicos da cidade e região, a disposição do Governo Federal de transformar o hospital de câncer de Uberaba num centro de formação e pesquisa.
Sobre isso, Helvécio Magalhães afirmou: “assim que vocês quiserem vocês podem montar aqui a residência médica, a especialização em oncologia e desenvolver ensino e pesquisa. Nós temos recursos no Governo Federal para isso”, disse referindo-se ao presidente do HHA, Délcio Scandiuzzi, outros médicos e diretores da instituição.
O titular da SAS reforça preocupação do Governo Federal com a falta de médicos e outros profissionais importantes para o tratamento do câncer, como o físico médico, por exemplo. Com o aumento do número de casos nos últimos anos e as projeções de milhões de novos pacientes oncológicos para as próximas décadas, cresce a necessidade de detecção precoce e assim chegar à cura de boa parte deles.
Por isso o secretário afirmou que “nós queremos ter em Uberaba um grande centro não só de atendimento, mas de referência, de formação de pessoas, para não precisar, por exemplo, levar pacientes daqui para Barretos, um grande centro de referência também, mas que pode atender São Paulo”.
Segundo Magalhães, o Ministro Alexandre Padilha “determinou que, na nova rede de atenção oncológica do país que estamos fazendo, déssemos uma prioridade muito grande ao Hélio Angotti. Temos a necessidade de um novo acelerador linear (aparelho usado na radioterapia) e ampliação dos credenciamentos. O Hélio Angotti mais que dobrou o atendimento aos pacientes”.
Ao visitar a unidade, o representante do Ministério da Saúde foi informado de que o acelerador linear está trabalhando no limite. Os pacientes são atendidos de cedo até à noite. Um novo equipamento (que custa em torno de um milhão de dólares) resolveria o problema.
No setor de quimioterapia, também visitado por Magalhães, por outro lado, o número de pacientes pode ser dobrado que há espaço para atender. “Em termos de estrutura física, os aportes do Governo Federal e a ajuda do Governo do Estado serão fundamentais para cuidarmos dos mineiros nos próximos anos da melhor forma possível”, afirma o presidente Délcio Scandiuzzi.
“O que nos anima”, completa Scandiuzzi, “é que, em que pese toda a tecnologia da internet, a evolução dos meios de comunicação, nós estamos sendo visitados por diversas autoridades do Ministério e todas preocupadas com o Hospital Hélio Angotti. Tivemos o ministro Padilha recentemente e agora o secretário Helvécio Magalhães e toda a sua equipe. Já temos resultado concreto e também disposição do Governo de nos ajudar ainda mais”.
Atualmente o Ministério da Saúde destina verba mensal de R$ 200 mil para o Hélio Angotti. Mas o rombo em decorrência da defasagem na tabela de atendimento do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) gira em torno de R$ 600 mil por mês. Por isso já está tramitando na pasta o pedido de ampliação de recursos federais.
Cardiologia– Outro ponto marcado pelo Hélio Angotti junto ao Ministério da Saúde veio com a abertura de espaço para o atendimento em cardiologia, construído por meio da parceria com médicos que montaram o Centro Integrado de Medicina Invasiva (CIMI).
Ao lado do câncer, doenças do coração estão entre as que mais matam no mundo. O CIMI, que está no 5º andar do HHA, é candidato ao credenciamento junto ao SUS e será examinado nos próximos dias por autoridades estaduais no processo de liberação do atendimento a pacientes através do sistema.
Semanas atrás, o cirurgião cardíaco Fabiano Ferreira Vieira, médico do CIMI, realizou no Centro Cirúrgico do Hélio Angotti a primeira cirurgia cardíaca da instituição. E o hospital está preparado para continuar e ampliar este tipo de atendimento.
Para completar, o CIMI proporciona também a radiologia intervencionista, técnica avançada e menos invasiva que permite o tratamento de tumores e vem revolucionando o tratamento oncológico.
