"As varizes acontecem quando o sangue pára de passar pelas veias principais e começa a fluir para as secundárias com maior fluxo", explica o professor e secretário geral da Sociedade Brasileira de Angiologia e Cirurgia Vascular, Antônio J. Monteiro da Silva.
Conheça os tipos e tratamentos contra as varizes:
Microvarizes: o cirurgião vascular ou o angiologista vão fazer uma avaliação e o tratamento geralmente é o esclerosante, ou seja, a aplicação de uma injeção na veia com o objetivo de secá-la. A média é de duas sessões por semana durante três meses para sanar o problema.
Varizes: o especialista detecta as causas e o tratamento é cirúrgico para a retirada da veia. O procedimento é de micro incisões para não comprometer a estética.
Trombose venosa aguda: este é o caso mais grave, uma complicação. Ele é proveniente de uma trombose e neste caso, a cirurgia não é indicada. O tratamento é feito com meias elásticas.
